Geraldine DeJaynes, 69, of Peoria died at 1:50 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at Sharon Pines Health Care.
She was born Oct. 30, 1930, in Kerton Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Herman and Muriel Marie Weese Markley. She married Arthur Carpenter in 1948. He died in 1980. She later married Harvey DeJaynes in Bushnell. He also preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Jerry (and Nancy) Carpenter and Danny (and Sharon) Carpenter, both of Bushnell, and Edwin (and Mauricia) Carpenter of Pasco, Wash.; two daughters, Marilyn (and Bill) Ferguson of Versailles and Marjorie (and Gary) Paul of Macomb; three sisters, Rosalie Stephens of Havana, Betty Little of Vermont and Phyllis Shepard of Monmouth; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, where visitation will be one hour before. The Rev. Warren Hughes will officiate. Burial will be in Summum Cemetery in Summum.
