Albert Derry

Albert Leo Derry, 58, of Keokuk, Iowa, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, at his home.

He was born Aug. 14, 1941, in Astoria, a son of Clinton and Evelee Smith Derry.

He had lived in Keokuk for the past 12 years and was a member of the New Testament Christian Church of Keokuk. He had been employed at Sivyer Steel in Bettendorf, Iowa, for over 20 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Tina Flemming of Andalusia, Chris Derry and Megan Derry, both of Moline; one son, Tim Derry of Rock Island; three grandchildren, Heather Flemming, RaeAnn Derry and Taylor Derry; one brother, Phil Derry (and Connie) of Albuquerque, N.M.; and one sister, Joyce Belville (and Harold) of Astoria.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Pauline (Polly) Moran.

A memorial service will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at the West Side Assembly of God Church in Davenport, Iowa, and an additional memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, at the Astoria Assembly of God Church in Astoria, with Rev. Phillip H. Derry (Albert’s brother) officiating.

The Vigen Memorial Home of Keokuk is in charge of arrangements.
