EVELEE M. (SMITH) DERRY DERRY CLARK

Evelee Clark

Evelee M. Clark, 77, of Astoria, died at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 1996, at Doctors Hospital in Springfield.

She was born July 10, 1918, in Marietta, a daughter of Norris and Annie E. Dean Smith. She married Clinton Derry. He died in 1944. She later married John Derry. He died in 1977. She married Howard Clark. He died in 1988. She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Anna Pauline Moran, and one brother.

Surviving are two sons, Albert Derry of Keokuk, Iowa, and the Rev. Philip H. Derry of Astoria; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Joyce) Belville of Astoria; two stepdaughters, Deloris Clark of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and Patricia Nickolson of Eustis, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Francis (Cozetta) Richardson of Keokuk.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Phillip H. Derry officiating. Burial was in South Side Cemetery in Clayton.

Memorials may be made to the Astoria Assembly of God Church or the ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) Society.
