Dorothe Dulaney Of Pekin Dies

Dorothe M. Dulaney, 73, of Pekin, died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 1990 in Pekin Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 24, 1917 near Prairie City, a daughter of Ervie and Mina (Yocum) Van Velsor. She married James E. Dulaney July 31, 1952 at Palmyra, Mo. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Stephen J. of Moline; two daughters, Pam Jacobs of Springfield and Mrs. George (Anita) Kampas of East Dubuque; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Van Velsor of Crowley, Texas; and one sister, Mrs. Glen (Gladys) Stambaugh Jr. of rural Adair.

She was preceded in death by one son, David; and one brother.

Mrs. Dulaney was a 1949 graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Galesburg from 1950-1962 and at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria from 1967-1970.

Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, Oct. 31, in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens at Galesburg with Rev. Charles Mann officiating. Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
