She was born July 3, 1975, in Springfield, a daughter of Michael and Dawn Hickle Bollinger. She married Edward Alan Curths on April 10, 1999, in Vermont. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Sierra Curths of Alton; two sons, David (and Jicole) Hickle of Easton and Isaiah Curths of Alton; her mother, Dawn Hickle of Vermont; grandfather, Wayne Bollinger of Browning; grandmother, Marie Hickle of Vermont; two sisters, Jennifer (and Nick) Robertson of Ipava and Marie (and Andrew) Belden of Vermont; two brothers, Elijah Smith of Champaign and Aaron Ash of Vermont; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; grandfather, Stanley Hickle; and grandmother, Dora “Dee” Bollinger.
She was a graduate of Western Illinois University in Macomb with a Masters of Education. She was an English teacher, teaching middle school and high school English. Lately, she was a substitute teacher for Alton area school districts.
Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Burial was in the Vermont Cemetery.
