Bonny CainBonny L. Cain, 73, of Rushville died at 10:26 p.m. Sept. 11, 2019, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born Oct. 15, 1945, in Ripley, a daughter of Helmore and Sheila Elzie Travis. She married Forrest B. Cain on May 28, 1982, in Browning. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2011.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Ralph Devore Jr.; two brothers, Morris and William Travis; and one sister, Betty Henson.

Surviving are two daughters, Kathy Kline of Blacksburg, S.C., and Casey (and Joshua) Chelette of West Monroe, La.; one brother, Joe (and Deborah) Travis of Goose Creek, S.C.; one sister, Ruby (and Henry) Hapke of Clayton; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was a graduate of Brown County High School and she received her dental assistant degree in Carthage. She was an entrepreneur and business woman involved with many different businesses. She also worked in the dietary department of Culbertson Memorial Hospital, retiring in 2005.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ripley Cemetery, in Ripley. The Wood Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Garrett Collins Family, to assist with Garrett’s medical expenses.
