Zula Clanin Of Ipava Dies

Zula M. Clanin, 97, of Ipava, died at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 5, 1991, at her residence.

She was born March 10, 1894, in Lewistown, a daughter of John H. and Laura E. Smith Bowen. She married Oral S. Clanin on Oct. 14, 1914, in Lewistown. He died on Dec. 29, 1969.

She also was preceded in death by brothers and sisters.

She is survived by one daughter, Virginia M. Nelson, and one grandson, Norman Hawkins, both of Ipava, and two great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Ipava Christian Church.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at her church with Rev. Darrell Harrison officiating. Burial was in the Ipava Cemetery. Kost Memorial Home in Vermont was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Ipava Rescue Squad.
