She was born Oct. 7, 1933, in Astoria, a daughter of Murray and Rose Lybarger. She married Jack Bloomfield on May 20, 1952. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Mark (and Debra) Bloomfield and Patrick (and Nancy) Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Brad Bloomfield, Paige (and Tim) Aranyos, Amy (and Nathan) Young and Sean Bloomfield; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lila Burdett and Mary Butler.
Phyllis and Jack traveled and explored six continents and spent the winters in Fountain Hills, Ariz.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Astoria with Reverend Bob Greene officiating. Burial will be in the Astoria Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
