He was born March 1, 1973, in Rushville, the son of Steve and Carol Cripe Beekman. He married Laurie Welch on Oct. 27, 2012, in Browning. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Lucas (and Kaytlin) Beekman of East Peoria and Jake Beekman of Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.; one daughter, Kaylann Beekman of Cuba; his mother, Carol Beekman of Astoria; his father, Steve (and Kathy) Beekman of Ipava; one sister, Amy (and Paul) Reynolds of Virginia; two nieces; and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willis and Marge Beekman and Morris and Irene Cripe.
He was a machinist at Caterpillar, working in Building KK in East Peoria.
He was a member of UAW Local 974 and the VFW in Bushnell.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Ben Murray officiating. Burial will be in Summum Cemetery.
