Harold BoydHarold R. Boyd, 92, of Rushville, formerly of Littleton, died at 7:10 p.m. Nov. 10, 2006, at Culbertson Long Term Care Facility.

He was born Feb. 23, 1914, in Littleton Township, Schuyler County, a son of Willis and Elva Winters Boyd. He married Marjorie Robeson on Aug. 15, 1936, in Rushville. She died April 10, 1997.

He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Vail.

Surviving are one daughter, Joan (and Jerry) Ewing of Rushville; one son, Dick (and Patti) of Littleton; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was a life-long Littleton area farmer and a member of the Schuyler County Farm Bureau. He was named Schuyler County Master Farmer in 1993.

He was a member of Littleton United Methodist Church, serving as Sunday school superintendent for many years; was a 50-year member of Littleton Lodge #766 and Rushville Lodge #9, AF & AM; was chairman of the Schuyler County ASCS Committee for many years; and was a former member of Littleton School Board and after the county school consolidation, served on Schuyler Community School Board.

Services were held Tuesday at his church with Rev. Dixie Croxton and Rev. Dr. E. Ambrose Stump officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
