MARJORIE (ROBESON) BOYD

Marjorie Boyd

Marjorie Boyd, 84, of Rushville, died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 1997, at the Snyder-Vaughn Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

She was born Aug. 16, 1912, in rural Pleasant View, a daughter of Jacob Lee and Elise Loring Robeson. She married Harold R. Boyd on Aug. 15, 1936 in Rushville. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Jerry “Joan” Ewing of Rushville; one son, Dick Boyd of Littleton; four grandchildren, Eric Ewing, Terri Harrell, Rick Boyd, Lissa Boyd; five great-grandchildren, Matthew and Jennifer Ewing, Emily Harrell, Katherine and J.R. Boyd; two sisters, Dorothy Anstine of Macomb and Louise Legg of Denver, Colo.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, Eleanor Russell and her twin Mary Acheson; and two brothers, James and Glen Robeson.

She was a member of the Littleton United Methodist Church.

Services were held Saturday at her church with Rev. Sidney Crowcroft and Rev. Scott Henley officiating. Burial was in the Rushville City Cemetery. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the Littleton United Methodist Church.
