Joetta Bidle

Joetta K. Sales Bidle, 45, of Beavercreek, Ohio, formerly of East Peoria, died at 8:35 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2001, at the University of Tennessee Memorial Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn.

She died from injuries sustained after a tree fell on her while hiking on July 3 at Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee.

She was born Jan. 31, 1956, in Peoria, a daughter of Harold and Roliene Hayes Sales. She married Dean Bidle. He survives.

Also surviving are her parents of Adair; two sons, Lucas and Edward (and Tonya); three sisters, Elaine Mott of Denver Colo., Joyce Delaney-Walker of St. Peters, Mo., and Carol Martin of Fox Lake; and three brothers, Ed, Norm and Jerry Sales, all of the Peoria area.

She attended East Peoria Community High School and worked for U.S. Airways.

She was a member of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Dayton, Ohio.

Services were held Monday at Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek with burial in the Bidle Family Cemetery in Mount Tabor.
