Dr. Dorothy M. Bindig, 91, of Peoria, died at 10:02 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, 1990, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born Nov. 16, 1898, in Vermont, the daughter of Joseph and Michel (Cook) Miles. She married Charles Bindig. He died in 1980, in Chicago.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include one brother, Lester C. Miles of McAllen, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Sims and Mrs. Helen Hope Ryan, both of Peoria, and Mrs. Ernestine Ingles of Vermont.
A podiatrist, she practiced in the Marshall Fields Building in Chicago for more than 40 years, retiring in 1980.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Wilton Mortuary with Rev. Larry Kirk officiating. Burial was at Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park.
