Dr. Steven Burgard, 38, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Ipava, died at 10:23 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 1985, at Penrose Hospital, Colorado Springs.
He was born Dec. 20, 1946, in Canton, a son of Dale and Maralee Hendee Burgard. He married Judith Lynn Schatzberg June 2, 1984, in Colorado Springs.
She survives, along with his parents of Lewistown; and his paternal grandfather, Ezra Burgard of Ipava.
He graduated from VIT High School, attended Bradley University and graduated in 1971 from the University of Illinois School of Dentistry at Chicago.
He served as captain in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1973, and had practiced dentistry at Colorado Springs for the past 12 years.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Colorado Springs, the American Dental Society, and Colorado Dental Society, and the Ipava American Legion.
Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Swan-Law Funeral Home, Colorado Springs.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ipava Cemetery. There will be no visitation, but friends may call at the Dale Burgard residence any time following services.
Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation in care of the Shawgo Memorial Home, Ipava, which is in charge of local arrangements.
