VeteranChilds E. Bowser Dies At Age 80

Childs E. Bowser, 80, of 105 Ridge Rd., Elkton, Md., died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 1985, at Union Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Astoria on Dec. 8, 1904, a son of George and Catherine Falkenstein Bowser. He was married to Esther Werner. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Johnston of Elkton, Md. and Mrs. Suzanne Skrypek of Dallas, Pa.; two sons, David Bowser of Lancaster, Pa., and John Bowser of Moscow, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Bowser retired in 1971 after being employed for 32 years in Procurement at the U.S. Army Signal Corps., Tobyhanna, Pa. He was a member of the Head of Christiana Presbyterian Church in Newark, Del.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning, Feb. 8, at the Head of Christiana Presbyterian Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Head of Christiana Presbyterian Church, 1100 Church Road, Newark, Del. 19711.

Hicks Home For Funerals of Elkton, Md., was in charge of arrangements.
