Mrs. Geo. Bowser Dies, Following Long Illness

Mrs. George Bowser died at her home in this city, Friday, aged 60 years, 4 months and 6 days. Death was due to cancer.

Catherine Falkenstein, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Falkenstein, was born near Astoria, Feb. 10, 1870. Early in life she united with the Church of the Brethren, to which faith she remained faithful until the end.

On October 10, 1899 she was united in marriage with George Bowser. To this union two children were born, Childs and Ruth. She mothered two step-children, Ralph and Beulah, the latter deceased. Also one foster son, Harold Gilson Bowser.

Besides her invalid husband and children, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Henry Carrier of Oklahoma and Mrs. Jonas Danner of Astoria and one brother Micheal Falkenstein of Colchester, Ill.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Astoria Church of the Brethren, conducted by Rev. E. O. Norris. Burial in South Fulton cemetery.
