Mabel C. Bucy Dies In Peoria

Mabel C. Bucy, 82, of Sterling Towers West, Peoria, where she lived two years, formerly of Astoria, died at 9:20 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 1980 in the Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born June 22, 1898, in Astoria, a daughter of James and Esther (McClelland) Carter. She married Dale Bucy June 30, 1919, in Astoria. He died Oct. 15, 1948, in Astoria.

Four sisters and one brother also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Carter of Bernardsville, N.J. and Jack of Peoria; two daughters, Mrs. Boyce (Louise) Bollinger and Mrs. Wayne (Jeanne) Gould, both of Peoria; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Carter of Peoria and Lena Zempel of Tampa, Fla.; and two nephews.

She was a member of the Astoria United Methodist Church and Astoria American Legion Auxiliary.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the church at Astoria with Rev. Richard Stolp and Rev. Bruce Weiman officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
