Carter Dale “Bud” Bucy, 72, of Sanford, N.C., formerly of Astoria, died Monday, Dec. 4, 1995, at Central Caroline Hospital in Sanford.

He was born May 24, 1923, in Astoria, the son of Dale and Mable Carter Bucy. He married Marilyn M. Miller. She survives.

Also surviving are two sisters, Jeanne Gould and Louise Bollinger, both of Peoria; one son, Thomas D. of Warminster, Pa.; one daughter, Patricia A. Cone of Jamestown, N.C.; and four grandchildren.

He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran. He retired from Foley Machinery Co., where he was market manager and in charge of advertising.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Highland Presbyterian Church. Cremation will be accorded. Arrangements are by Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville, N.C.
