BOYCE D. "BUD" BOLLINGER

Boyce D. "Bud" Bollinger, 85, of Peoria died at 2:25 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born July 8, 1919, in Normal, a son of Ghlea W. and Gladys Peek Bollinger. He married Louise M. Bucy on September 5, 1941, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Gary (and Pam) Bollinger of Plano, Texas; one daughter, Barbara (and Bob) Breuhaus of Peoria; one brother, Robert Bollinger of Weston, Pa.; three sisters, Lenora Poppenhager of Billings, Mo., Mildred Bollinger of Canton, and Carolyn (and Bill) Long of Rapatee; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Don.

He worked for Caterpillar Inc. in Morton for 40 years before retiring in 1981.

He was a World War II Army veteran serving overseas.

He was of the Christian faith.

He was a member of the CAT Retirees and Peoria Senior Golf associations.

Services were held Saturday at Wilton Mortuary in Peoria with Chaplain Pat Newsum officiating. Burial was in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, where military rites were conducted.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
