Carolyn J. Long of Maquon died at 7 p.m. April 18, 2010, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born June 29, 1928, in Astoria, a daughter of Ghlea and Gladys Peek Bollinger. She married William N. Long Jr. in Astoria in 1950. He preceded her in death in 1991.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Boyce and Robert Bollinger.
Surviving are one daughter, Donita (and Gene) Halsey of Maquon; one son, Kelly (and Susan Barnabee) Long of Farmington; two sisters, Lenora Poppenhager of Republic, Mo., and Mildred Bollinger of Canton; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was a graduate of Graham Hospital School of Nursing and practiced as a registered nurse for 47 years at Graham Hospital.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Canton and Canton Photography Club.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
