Mrs. Pearl Busby Dies Thursday

Mrs. Pearl Busby, 66, of RR4, Astoria, died early Thursday morning at her home.

Mrs. Busby was born in Rushville on Oct. 23, 1903, the daughter of Clinton and Lorenda VanOrder Peterman. She was married to Henry Busby on Dec. 26, 1925, in Rushville. He survives.

She has resided in Fulton County for 44 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Rushville.

In addition to her widower she is survived by two sons, Morris Busby of Astoria and Donald Busby of Vermont; one daughter, Mrs. Nellie Bucher of Astoria; two brothers, Mark Peterman and John Peterman, both of Rushville; one sister, Mrs. Nora Orwig of Rushville; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bill and James Peterman, and two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Icenogle and Ethel Peterman.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the Roby Funeral Chapel in Rushville with Rev. Harold Hedden officiating. Burial was in the Christian Neck Cemetery west of Astoria.
