She was born Aug. 3, 1954, in Canton, a daughter of Fay and Evelyn Duckwiler Mahan. She married William Ackley on May 16, 1971, in Vermont. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Lisa (and Darin) Kreps of Vermont; one sister, Vicky (and Jim) Ackley of Vermont; one brother, Richard Mahan of Vermont; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one great-grandson, Brayden Baker.
She was a homemaker. She used to do housekeeping in her younger years.
Services were held Aug. 5 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Cody Stinnett officiating. Burial was in the Vermont Cemetery.
