She was born June 19, 1950, in Canton, a daughter of Vernon and Helen Conner Derry. She married Len Allen on March 23, 1984, in Rushville. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Jeff Crabtree of Galesburg; one stepson, Kent (and Debbie) Allen of Jacksonville; one stepdaughter, Kelley (and Roger) Dunning of Petersburg, Ind.; one brother, Larry (and Marge) Derry of Astoria; and one sister, Loretta (and Bob) Mummert of Astoria.
She worked in rehabilitation services at Astoria Gardens during her high school years. She then worked for Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville and last worked for Evergreen Place in Beardstown for over 30 years.
She was a member of Astoria Christian Church.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service was held Saturday at Summum Cemetery with Pastor Matthew Thiner officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.
