ARVIN NEAL ANDERSON

Arvin Neal Anderson, 77, of Vermont, died at 7:31 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born Sept. 3, 1922, in Vermont, the son of Glen and Mabel Sparks Anderson. He married Rose Graham on Aug. 6, 1941, in St. Louis. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Sherell Qazzaz of Farmington, Mo.; one son, Jeff Hinderliter of Vermont; five grandchildren; and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by one son, Dr. Wendell Anderson, and one sister.

He retired from AMAX Coal Co. in 1983. He was a member of Vermont Lodge 116, AF&AM.

He served in the Army National Guard.

He was a member of Vermont United Methodist Church, where services were held Saturday with Rev. Jerry Sawyer officiating. Masonic services were conducted by his lodge. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery. Kost Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to his church, the American Cancer Society or the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
