Judith Shields
She was born April 8, 1940, in Beardstown, a daughter of Jay Benjamin and Gladys Irene Davis Danner. She married Ronald Shields on Sept. 8, 1962, in Ipava. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2017. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Danner; and one niece, Lori (Danner) Aksland. Surviving are two brothers, Larry (and Clare) Danner of Beardstown and Walter (and Janet) Danner of Astoria; two sisters, Karen Palmer of the state of California and Donna Parr of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was the manager of the Peek-Inn mobile home community in Pekin for over 50 years. Services were held Tuesday, July 28, at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Burial was in the Summum Cemetery. Memorials in Judy’s memory may be made to the Miller Senior Citizen Center or the Tazewell Animal Protective Society, both located in Pekin. Condolences may be sent to www.shawgomemorialhome.com.
