J. Larry Zahn

J. Larry Zahn, 50, of Sheboygan Falls, Wis., formerly of Rushville was pronounced dead Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002.

He died in a boating accident while fishing on Little Bay de Noc near Escanaba, Mich.

He was born Feb. 17, 1952, in Rushville, the son of Englebert Louis and Dessie Ronchetto Zahn. He married Janet Planansky on May 30, 1997. She survives.

Also surviving are one stepson, Robert Schaab at home; and two sisters, Jan Ronchetto of Stevens Point, Wis., and Gloria Zahn of Sheboygan, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

He attended Astoria Grade School and was a graduate of Macon High School, Macon, Mo., Class of 1970. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point with a bachelor's degree in physical education and a master's degree in urban forestry in 1986.

He worked in the fishing department at Gander Mountain in Sheboygan.

He had been an urban forester and arborist for Kohler Landscape in Kohler, Wis., for 11 years.

He was a member of the Tuff Team fishing team of Tuffy Boats as well as the Sheboygan Walleye Club.

Services were held Tuesday at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls, Wis., with Rev. Donald Drollinger officiating.
