Frances YoungFrances Pauline Parsano Young, 80, of Rushville died at 11:55 p.m. Nov. 10, 2014, at Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home.

She was born June 13, 1934, in Rushville, a daughter of Harley and Ada Esther Chockley Parsano. She married Charles Edward Young on June 21, 1957, in Rushville. He survives.

Also surviving are four children, Karen (and George) Kirkham of Rushville, Kristine Ogden of Lewistown, James (and Patsy) Young of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jon (and Alesia) Young of Madison, Va.; one sister, Genny Emery of Moline; one brother, Ted Parsano of Rushville; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sarah Esther Young; one son, Jeffrey Young; one sister, Ida Mae Anderson; and two brothers, Harley Parsano Jr. and George Oscar Parsano.

After graduating from Rushville High School, she went to work at Mickleberry’s Packing Co. in Rushville until her first child was born. She was a stay-at-home mother and housewife until 1975 when she started cleaning houses and doing domestic work for various people in Rushville.

She was a member of Rushville First Southern Baptist Church.

Services were held Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
