He was born March 16, 1939, in Table Grove, a son of Roy and Genevieve Wilson. He married Lillie Sievers. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Toby (and Dawn), Matt (and Lisa) and Dan (and Annie); three siblings, Jan Hughes, Roger (and Judy) and Margaret (and Tom) Anderson; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He graduated from VIT, then attended Monmouth College and completed his BA. He became a CPA after graduating college.
He worked with Park Corporation in Barrington for 30-plus years before moving to South Carolina. He retired from Kroger as a coffee buyer in 2001.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Dunbar Funeral Home in Columbia, S.C. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Columbia, S.C.
