Cooper WoodsCooper Braeden Woods, 28, of Industry died Aug. 24, 2020, in rural McDonough County.

He was born Sept. 16, 1991, in Macomb, a son of Jeff and Tonya Woods.

Surviving are his parents; one brother, Logan Woods of Ann Arbor, Mich.; one sister, Cassidy Woods of O’Fallon, Ill.; paternal grandmother, Judy Reynolds, (Kenny) of Table Grove; maternal grandparents, Gary (and Letha) Clark of Tennessee, Ill.; uncle Jerry Woods; aunt and uncle Krista and Kevin Groenewold; and cousins.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Jim Woods; and great-grandparents, Herman (and Ruth) Poen, Robert (and Mary) Woods, Roy (and Edna) Clark and John (and Evelyn) Cuba.

He loved nothing more than spending time in nature, and in 2018 earned a degree in Forestry from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

In recent months, he spent much of his time at his favorite place — his grandparents’ farm near Tennessee.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life was held Friday at the family farm. A Memorial service was held with Pastor Bennett Woods officiating. Private family graveside services will be held at a later time. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the SIU Forestry Club, Industry United Methodist Church or the great outdoors in the form of a newly planted tree.
