Randy WilsonRandy P. Wilson, 67, of Vermont died at 1:25 p.m. Feb. 24, 2020, at his home.

He was born Oct. 24, 1952, in Macomb, a son of Lloyd and Mary Hopper Wilson Sr. He married Judy Herink on May 24, 1975, in Vermont. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Christopher (and Terry) Wilson of Perryville, Mo.; two sisters, Terri (and Mike) Jones of Hannibal, Mo., and Gina Mason of Macomb; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Quinton Shull; and one brother, Lloyd Wilson Jr.

He retired from Caterpillar after 30 years. After retiring, he worked for IDOT, was a co-host at Spring Lake in Macomb and helped numerous farmers in the fields during the fall.

He was a lifelong member of Vermont Methodist Church and currently Industry Methodist Church. He was a committee member of Boy Scout Troop 101 and a 36-year member of the Vermont Masonic Lodge 116. He also was a volunteer fireman for the Vermont Fire Department.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Vermont Cemetery with Pastor Bennett Woods officiating. The Vermont Masonic Lodge 116 will provide Masonic Rites at the graveside. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Vermont Masonic Lodge or the Vermont Fire and Rescue Squad.
