She was born Feb. 5, 1956, in Dixon, a daughter of Donald Frey Sr. and Virginia Welsh. She married Jimmy Wayne Winder on Oct. 23, 1991, in Ripley. He preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 2009.
She also was preceded in death by one infant son, David Yates Jr.; and one brother, Gerald Frey.
Surviving are one daughter, Tamara Beasley of Ripley; one son, Michael Yates of Ripley; one brother, Donald L. Frey Jr. of Mount Morris; three sisters, Debbie Hutton and Sandy Barton, both of Alton, and Katrisha Schultheis of Amboy; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was a registered nurse and geriatric specialist.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Rob Laning officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday.
