Jimmy WinderJimmy Wayne Winder, 58, of Ripley died at 8:45 a.m. Oct. 21, 2009, at his residence.

He was born on Aug. 29, 1951, in Marshall, Mo., a son of John and Helen Branham Winder. He married Tina Frey on Oct. 23, 1991, in Ripley. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Jimmy Winder Jr. of Pike County and Michael Yates of Russellville, Ky.; three daughters, Judy and Jody Winder of Pike County and Tammy Frey of Ripley; three brothers, Tom, David and Ralph Winder; five sisters, Sue Wilcox, Betty Smith, Mary Weatherby, Judy Large and Linda Fields; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry “Skeet” Winder and Bob Winder.

He worked at O’Hara Salvage Yard for 20 years retiring due to ill health.

Services were held Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Rob Laning officiating. Cremation will then be accorded.
