Cathy L. Windsor, of Canton, formerly of Astoria, died at 11:22 a.m. Oct. 24, 2015, at The Elms in Macomb.Cathy L. Windsor, of Canton, formerly of Astoria, died at 11:22 a.m. Oct. 24, 2015, at The Elms in Macomb.
She was born July 19, 1961, in Macomb, a daughter of Max E. and Sandra A. Danner Cox.
Surviving are one daughter, Heily (and Heath VanDeVenter) Windsor of Astoria; her mother; one sister, Connie Gunter of Astoria; two brothers, Alan Cox and Arlan Cox, both of Astoria; two grandchildren; and fiancée, Sam Aloian of Canton.
She was preceded in death by her father and stepfather, Loren “Red” Howell.
She worked at the overall factory in Canton for 13 years. She then worked at Hamblin’s Gas and Snacks in Astoria for 13 years, and last worked as assistant manager at Casey’s General Store in Bryant.
She was a member of Astoria Christian Church.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Matthew Thiner officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Burial will be in Astoria Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to her grandchildren’s education fund at the Ipava State Bank in Astoria.
