Steven R. Walper, 56, of Sarasota, Fla., died Sept. 9, 2015, in Friendship, Wis.
He was born March 2, 1959, in Aurora, a son of Bob and Joann Walper.
Surviving are two sisters, Debbie Jacobs of McHenry and Sheri (and Dave) Musser of Oswego; two nieces, Sarah Jacobs of McHenry and Nicole Musser of Oswego; three nephews, Tim (and Carrie) Jacobs of Island Lake and Matt (and Marietta) Musser and Mark Musser, both of Sheridan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Brad Walper.
He graduated from Oswego High School Class of 1977. He moved from Oswego to Sarasota in 1981, where he lived until his passing. He worked as a barber in the Sarasota/Bradenton area for over 30 years.
A graveside service was held Sunday, Sept. 20, at Oswego Township Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in Sarasota at a later date. Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory in Oswego was in charge of arrangements.
