He was born April 29, 1936, in Lewistown, a son of John W. and Catherine L. Wilson White. He married Betty Jean Wright on Nov. 14, 1956, in Lewistown. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Kevin L. White of Cuba; one daughter, Della Sue (and John) Anderson of Astoria; one brother, Don White of state of Illinois; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
He worked at AMAX Coal Company, working at Vermont and Kingsburg mines from 1962 until his retirement on April 1, 1997.
He was a 1954 graduate of Lewistown High School.
After retiring, he loved going to auctions and sales. He and his wife were vendors of Fulton County Spoon River Scenic Drive since 2000 in Fairview and Canton.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Vermont Cemetery with Reverend Robert Greene officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
