Helen "Janie" Wenger, 80, of Rushville died at 9:53 p.m. Sept. 28, 2012, at Snyder's Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.
She was born Jan. 19, 1932, in Rushville, the daughter of Lloyd and Margaret Parrotte Gregory. She married Clifford Wenger on May 13, 1951, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 2001.
She also was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Wenger and Robert Wenger.
Surviving are one son, Ron (and Mary) Wenger of Springfield; one daughter, Theresa Wenger of Rushville; two brothers, William (and Lea) Gregory of Flat Rock, N.C., and Bernard (and Jan) Gregory of Jacksonville; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was a lifelong resident of Rushville and was a homemaker. She was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church and Some-R-Set Club.
Services were held Tuesday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Ken Runkle officiating. Burial was in Palm Cemetery, west of Rushville.
