Leona WilliamsLeona P. Williams, 68, of Canton died at 2:37 p.m. Feb. 7, 2012, at Graham Hospital Emergency Room in Canton.

She was born Nov. 23, 1943, in Detroit, Mich., a daughter of Ernest and Ida M. Belville Nixon. She married Charles J. "Red" Williams on May 22, 1971, in Canton. He died Jan. 17, 2001.

She also was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

Surviving are six children, Barbara Breese, David "Larry" (and Christine) Graham, Darlene (and Larry E.) Williams-Gruber and Cheryl (and Chris Clark) Conklin, all of Canton, Ellen (and Kerry) Brown of St. David and Doreen (and William) Fawcett of Cuba; four sisters, Patricia (and William) Robinson of Havana, Helen Roberts of East Jordan, Mich., Deborah Roberts of Mason City, Iowa, and Elaine Hardin of Gallatin, Tenn.; five brothers, Ronald Roberts, Gary Roberts, Edward Roberts, Richard Roberts and Tracy Roberts; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She worked as a CNA for over 30 years at Sunset Healthcare Center in Canton.

Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of Leona's life was held Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Apple Cemetery.
