She was born April 19, 1953, in Canton, a daughter of Virgil and Melba Jean Ogden Burget. She married Robert E. Wells on April 6, 1974, in Astoria. He survives.
Also surviving are three children, Julie (and Shawn) Jones of Bloomington, Ind., Penny Wells of Canton and Laurie (and Dwayne) Bennett of Fort Carson, Colo.; five brothers, Steve (and Pam) Burget and Shelby Burget, both of Astoria, Scott (and Teresa) Burget of Rushville, Stanley (and Sandy) Burget and Sheldon (and Brenda) Burget, both of Lewistown; one sister, Sharon (and Steve) Musson of Astoria; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and one brother, Stewart Burget.
She was a registered nurse at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, last working in June 2008.
She was a graduate of Astoria High School, a 1973 graduate of Spoon River College Practical Nursing program and a graduate of Methodist School of Nursing.
She was a member of Canton First Church of the Nazarene.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Private graveside services will be held at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton with Rev. Ryan Goode officiating.
