Joseph Worthington

Joseph Michael “Joe” Worthington, 54, of Rushville died at 1:40 p.m. Oct. 20, 2008, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 1, 1954, in Rushville, a son of William Edward and Mary Ann Montooth Worthington.

Surviving are three brothers, John T. Worthington of Las Vegas, Nev., and James M. (and Jody) Worthington and William R. (and Debbie) Worthington, both of Rushville; three sisters, Elizabeth A. (and Jim) Johnson of Fort Myers, Fla., Maria J. (and Kent) Wildrick of Carthage and Susan E. (and Jim) Krasula of Greensboro, N.C.

He graduated from Rushville High School in 1972 and later from Emory School of Aviation in Greeley, Co.

He held his commercial air line pilots license, and worked for Agritran Corp. and Cargill Meat Solutions before retiring due to ill health.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Rushville and Ducks Unlimited.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial will be in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the memorial home.
