Lulu E. Williams, 80, of Beardstown died at 3:25 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2006, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born April 17, 1925, in Sheldons Grove, a daughter of Joseph and Alice Cole Fisher. She married Verne Edward Williams in April 1951 in Astoria. He survives.
Also surviving are two sisters, Lucille Spears of Peoria Heights and Josephine Smith of East Peoria.
She attended teachers college in Macomb for two years. She was a rural school teacher at Lookout School in Fulton County and various schools in Schuyler County.
She was a member of Beardstown First United Methodist Church and formerly a member of Sheldons Grove United Methodist Church.
Graveside services were held Thursday at Astoria Cemetery with Pastor Larry Reinke officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.
