Brad Westcott

Brad WestcottBrad Lee Westcott, 21, of Nauvoo died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, in rural Nauvoo from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born March 5, 1984, in Rushville, a son of Michael and Darlene Sowers Westcott. His father preceded him in death.

He also was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lyle Westcott.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Darlene and Alan Brinkschroeder of Nauvoo; one sister, Michelle Westcott of Nauvoo; one brother, Mike Westcott of Nauvoo; grandparents Ray and Lesta Sowers of Nauvoo and Helen Westcott of Phoenix, Ariz.; two great-grandmothers, Helen Gavillet of Basco and Mamie Foster of Land O'Lakes, Fla.; and great-grandfather, Lester Ikerd of Carthage.

He attended Nauvoo-Colusa High School.

He worked as an electrician and handyman.

He was a member of Freedom of Christ Church in Kahoka, Mo.

Visitation will be held after 1 p.m. Thursday, with the family meeting friends from 5-8 p.m. at Lamporte Funeral Home in Nauvoo. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Ray Gilbert officiating. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Astoria Cemetery in Astoria.

A memorial has been established in his name.
