Anne C. Walters, 78, of Astoria died at 7:22 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born May 28, 1925, in Florissant, Mo., a daughter of William and Alma Petrie Korte. She married Russell L. Walters on April 22, 1943, in Palmyra, Mo. He died Jan. 10, 1990.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Steven; and three sisters.
Surviving are one son, Kenneth (and Marilyn) of Rushville; and two granddaughters.
She was a former dietitian at Astoria Care Center.
She was a member of Astoria United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She also was a member of Astoria American Legion Auxiliary and the Good Sam Club.
Services were held Saturday at her church with Rev. Marian Stone officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Astoria Gardens, Astoria Township Cemetery Association or Culbertson Memorial Hospital Long Term Care.
