Jerry L. Weishaar, 63, of Browning died at 8:20 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2001, at the emergency room of Mason District Hospital in Havana.

He was born Aug. 17, 1937, in Rushville, the son of Donald F. and Zelma Fern Harris Weishaar. He married Norma Gale on Nov. 5, 1960, in Havana. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Tim (and Christi) of Rushville and Marty (and Nikki Tigar) of Browning; one daughter, Cindy (and Darin) Foster of Macomb; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Elaine (and Bill) Stroup of Pekin and Elsie (and Virgil) Gobel of Browning.

He worked at International Harvester Co. in Canton for 21 years, retiring in 1991. He also worked as a commercial fisherman.

A Korean War veteran, he served in the Navy and the Marines.

He was a member of Canton Moose Lodge 784.

He attended Browning Christian Church.

Services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pat Clements officiating. Burial was in Browning Cemetery.
