Ruth Weese, 100, of Astoria, died at 12:35 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, at Astoria Healthcare Center.
She was born Sept. 30, 1898, in Summum, a daughter of Clayton and Ida Danner Kingery. She marrked Parke D. Weese on Oct. 6, 1916, in Havana. He died Nov. 5, 1988.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are two nieces, Sharon Weese of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Virginia Welker of Macomb; one nephew, John Weese of Palmetto, Fla.; and one cousin, Peggy Hart of Summum.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Astoria.
Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home with Rev. Marian Stone officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to her church or to the Astoria Township Cemetery Association.
