Lester Woodruff Of Vermont Dies

James Lester Woodruff, 85, of Vermont, died at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 1990, at Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

He was born Sept. 6, 1905, in Ray, a son of George Delno and Maggie May Wright Woodruff. He married Nellie Viola Fishel on June 10, 1927, in Lewistown. She died on Oct. 15, 1987.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Millard (Vera E.) Huett of Rushville; one son, Leslie E. of Crane, Mo.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Richey of Monmouth.

He was a farmer and worked at Ken-Ray Foundry in Vermont for 10 years. He was a member of the Christian Church in Vermont.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Bruce Peterson officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to American Legion Post 26 in Vermont.
