Wayne W. Walker, 81, a retired farmer of Springfield, formerly of rural Ipava, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, 1980, in the Dirksen House at Springfield.
Born March 18, 1899, in Oakland Township, a son of Stephen and Emma Ritchey Walker, he married Dale Wheeler in 1920, in Wyoming, Ill. She died in 1963.
One daughter and three brothers also preceded him in death.
Surviving are one son, Eugene Sr. of Canton; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Dean of Industry.
He was a member of both the Astoria and Lewistown Saddle clubs.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Walter Pruett officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
