R. Clair Waters, 71, formerly of Table Grove, died at 12:20 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 1980, at the Nursing Center of Canton.
Mr. Waters was born Nov. 25, 1908, in New Salem Twp., McDonough County, the son of George and Bertha Brown Waters. He was a retired farmer. He married Lucille Smith. She preceded him in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Betty Lindlan of Agana, Guam; one son, Dave of Grants Pass, Ore.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, John and George, both of Table Grove; and one sister, Mrs. Lucille Butterfield of Macomb.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Harris Cemetery in Table Grove with Rev. Carl H. Anderson officiating.
