Funeral services for Edward Parker Williams were held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Kost Memorial Home in Vermont. The Rev. Rae VanEtten officiated and burial was in Vermont Cemetery. Mr. Williams died Tuesday, Aug. 3, in a Peoria Hospital.
He was born at Vermont March 9, 1882, a son of Lorenzo Dow and Martha Kirkbride Williams. He married Elizabeth Mercer at Lewistown Oct. 29, 1907. She died Sept. 5, 1964.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eula Giles of Peoria; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Jenna Horwedel of Ipava; and one brother, Clare Williams of Moline. One son and two brothers are deceased.
Mr. Williams was a member of the Methodist Church and was a retired Ken Ray Foundry laborer.
