VERMONT — Lorenzo D. Williams was born at Vermont Ill., Dec. 27, 1854. Died at Lexington, Ky. Sunday, Dec. 19, 1920, at the age of 56 years, 11 months and 19 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Martha Etta Kirkbride, April 3, 1879. To them were born nine children, four of which died in infancy. The five who survived are Ed Williams of Vermont, Fred of Avon, Ill., Mrs. Perry Horwedel of Marietta, Ill., Harry of Canton, Ill., and Clare of Macomb, Ill. His wife passed away in 1891. He also leaves to mourn his departure his aged mother, Mrs. Susanna Williams of Vermont. He was married to Miss L. A. Robertson of Lexington, Ky., having made his home there for several years. For a long time he has been afflicted with ill health and after a lingering illness, passed away at Lexington, Ky. The body arrived in Vermont Wednesday noon and the services were conducted by Rev. Wilson from the Christian church Wednesday afternoon at three o’clock. The remains were laid to rest in Vermont cemetery.
