Elizabeth VaughnElizabeth R. “Beth” Vaughn, 31, of Rushville died at 6:47 a.m. March 21, 2016, at her residence.

She was born May 11, 1984, in Quincy, a daughter of Gary Vaughn and Janis Zimmerman Vaughn.

Surviving are her mother, Janis (and Kenneth) Wenger of rural Rushville; her father, Gary Vaughn of rural Rushville; paternal grandparents, Eldon and Irene Vaughn of Rushville; two sisters, her twin Sarah Vaughn of Denver, Colo., and Amy (and Terry) Ward of Rushville; one brother, Branden Vaughn of Springfield; and one stepsister, Breiane (and Chris) Ham of Mount Sterling.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jerry and Phyllis Guthrie Zimmerman; and one stepsister, Jordan Wenger.

She was a Rushville High School graduate with the class of 2002. She received a bachelors degree from SIU Edwardsville and then graduated from Barnes Jewish School of Nursing in St. Louis, Mo. She was employed as a traveling Registered Nurse.

She was a member of Rushville First United Methodist Church. In high school, she and her sister Sarah were co-valedictorians of their class, she also was a member of the National Honor Society, was editor of the Re-Echo Yearbook, played basketball with the Lady Rockets and was a flag girl with the RHS Marching Band.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Langford Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
